Below is a summary of the CEU requirements for South Carolina Nursing Home Administrators (NHAs) and Residential Care Facility Administrator (RCFAs), which are described in S. C. Regulation 93-200 (click here to view).
Required Hours:
- NHA: 20 Hours
- RCFA: 18 Hours
- Joint NHA/RCFA: 29 Hours
Online Hours Permitted:
- NHA: 10 Hours
- RCFA: 9 Hours
- Joint NHA/RCFA: 14 Hours
NHA and Joint NHA/RCFA licensees must complete five (5) hours in the area of Patient Care.
Renewal Period: June 30 of every year
The South Carolina Administrator Mini-Bundle includes the following courses (CEU hours bracketed):
- Managing and Communicating with Dementia Residents (3 Patient Care Credit Hours)
- Understanding COPD (2 Patient Care Credit Hours)
- Security in LTC Facilities (1 Credit Hour)
TOTAL: 6 Credits of NAB Approved CEUs, including 5 Patient Care Credits
