Below is a summary of the CEU requirements for Michigan Nursing Home Administrators (NHAs), which are described in the Continuing Education Requirements for Michigan Nursing Home Administrators (click here to view).
Required Hours: 36 Credit Hours
Hours Permitted Online: 20 Credit Hours
Renewal Period: October 31 Every Two Years (Based on Year of Licensure)
- Pain and Symptom Management (2 Credit Hours)
- State Specific Laws (1 Credit Hour)
**PLEASE NOTE: The Michigan Public Health Code and board administrative rules require Nursing Home Administrators to complete training in identifying victims of human trafficking. Please note this is a one-time training that is separate from continuing education and beginning March 17, 2021 will be required to obtain an NHA license.**
The Michigan NHA Mini-Bundle includes the following courses (CEU hours bracketed):
- Infection Control & Standard Precautions (4.5 Credits)
- Alzheimer’s & Dementia (2 Credits)
- Understanding COPD (2 Credits)
